Michael, I can definitely understand your frustration. In the past I attempted to purchase a replacement front sight for an 8" Luger and after a few e-mails, WE stopped responding to me whatsoever.
Unfortunately, most of the WE Lugers out there seem to end up breaking, usually due to issues with the trigger & sear. Since replacement parts are almost impossible to get from WE, most of these guns stay broken. I've yet to see a Luger stay functional for long when frequently skirmished.
They're definitely neat little pistols and I enjoyed mine while I had it, but it seems that if you own one which is still working you can count yourselves among the lucky.

I purchased my We luger with the four inch barrel from Pyramid air about one year ago. After a few months, the toggle lever(the part with the two round cocking places) broke on the left side, just behind the circular part. I called WE which is located in California and described to them what broke. They do not sell repair parts for the Lugar, so I was told to send it to them. They repaired it by replacing the broken part at a cost to me of 30 dollars. This new part lasted for approximately 500 rounds and then it broke in the exact place as the first one. The gun also had the part that the barrel and toggle assembly moves in break. I drilled and threaded the part and put in a small screw, which holds this part onto the lower frame. This gun is made of a soft metal(pot metal) and is fragile. I used this gun to shoot at cans in my backyard, not for games. Now, this gun is a wall hanger, which looks quite real with the wooden grips I bought on Ebay for 14 dollars. I am not going to send it back to WE again to have the toggle asembly replaced. I am 51 years old and worked repairing small arms while in the army, so I know how to repair many types of weapons. The Luger made by Tsd-We is an excellent copy of the real pistol, but unfortunately, is made of weak, soft metal, breaking at the exact same place twice over.

Thank you very much for documenting your creativity and then publishing it on the web.
I have found this and your guide to weathering metals invaluable.
They are both appreciated very much.
