We’ve just published Brandon’s review of the DBoys / Kalash AK-74 / RK-01. Steel receiver, real wood furniture and solid gearbox all for a very reasonable price (weathered look not included).
Ever wondered what ‘shimming‘ is? How about ‘motor height‘ or ‘potmetal‘? Well, Chairsoft Press is here to help! We now have a new tab up top which will take you to the Airsoft Glossary, which defines terms from ‘muzzle velocity‘ and ‘gearbox jam‘ to ‘short stroking‘ and ‘MOSFET‘. We even wrote a section on materials you’ll commonly find in airsoft guns.
At the beginning of the glossary, you’ll find a very thorough index which will take you to the term you’re interested in. Glossary entries are also cross linked where applicable.
Currently the glossary covers the more technical aspects of airsoft, but it will be expanded over time to even the most accessible subjects. If you have terms you’re interested in getting a definitive definition of, just e-mail us using the contact form to let us know.
The clock rolled over to midnight not too long ago, officially ushering in 2011 for the mountain standard timezone. Let’s hope this year brings more interesting releases and replicas for us to review. As a thank you to our readers (which by now surely number in the dozens, between my horribly pedantic reviews and Brandon’s consistently insulting demeanor) we’ve taken higher res versions of some of our best review pictures and slapped our brand on them to make wallpapers! A small sampling is shown below and the rest can be found at http://chairsoft-press.com/wallpapers/.
For your reading pleasure we’re just published two new reviews. First up is a review of the G&P M4 VLTOR Sentry, a very nice 10″ tactical carbine.
Then from the AK side of the black rifle spectrum, we have Andy’s review of the DBoys / Kalash RK-12 “Stubby Killer”.
Stay classy, readers.
Hey look readers, two reviews, one night!
I recently purchased a copy of the Snow Wolf SW-02, a replica of the Barrett M82. Oh, and did I mention its $280?
Also, if you were trying to guess what that shadow pic I posted a few hours ago, its the shadow of the Barrett. So you don’t have to rack your brain anymore.
I wrote a new review. The A&K M249 has made support gunning attainable for a lot of people by bringing prices down to that of a mid-range name brand AEG.
Is it any good? Its been out for some time, and their proliferation speaks for itself. But I want to speak for it too. So I did.
Also, prepare yourselves. We had a day out with the camera, which means more reviews are coming soon. Here’s a hint…
Until then, read on.
