What is it?
The Airsoft Database is a project to build a database of all airsoft manufacturers and the guns they produce. When completed, guns will be sorted by mechanism (AEG, GBB, etc…), style (AK, G36…), and type (Rifle, Carbine, Pistol…) as well as other relevant attributes. We intend to make the database as complete as possible, including guns that went out of production years ago. Eventually, we would like to make this a community feature, like a wiki, that can be added to and edited by the public.
Why are we making it?
We think the database will at the very least be informational to the airsoft community. Other features such as linking to reviews and where to buy particular replicas may be implemented.
Where we are now…
Currently, the database is in the prototype and development stages. We are planning the structure and features we would like to implement. If you have suggestions or ideas you would like to contribute for this project, please let us know by either using the contact form or by posting in our forum. Below, I’ve attached a preview image of the in-development database browser.

Pretty nice, it would be great if you made it into an iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad app. And I hope it includes differnt data about the gun, such as all the little info about the gearbox and stuff like that.
