KSC announced recently that they will be releasing a new high precision rifle lineup, featuring either spring or gas internals, and polished aluminum stocks in either standard or two-tone finishes.

“KSC rollout of the impact this summer challenge the pinnacle of ultra-precision rifle precision shooting! ? ! Skeleton thoroughly to reduce the vibrations of launch. Trim adjustment for stock and three-dimensional freedom. Outer shell to emit an aura of precision from the show are all made of aluminum. These appear to be APS-2 style rifles simply pre-kitted to the max. The picture of the trigger box shows a zero trigger, and I’m sure a host of very nice upgraded sear parts (at least one can hope, considering the painful pricetag.) It would be very interesting to see how these stack up against a regular home-upgraded APS-2 rifle, or even some of the well copies that have been released to see if the price tag is justified.

Interesting news from SOCOM Gear, looks like they are releasing a new option in the M700 field;
From SOCOM Gear’s website:
Package including:
R700 AIR RIFLE
One magazine
One sniper ghillie camouflage
Features:
SIMULATED RECOIL ACTION
MATTE COATING FINISH
AUTHENTIC RECEIVER FINISH
SNIPING LIGHT TRIGGER
It is interesting to see a rifle come with a pre-made ghille out of the box. Also, interested in seeing how the simulated recoil is. While the powersource isn’t mentioned as to if it is gas or spring, it is likely a spring rifle (the old VSR-10 ‘Realshock!’ comes to mind.

I’ve just put the finishing touches on a technical article about Bioval’s BBBMAX BBs. These are the new transparent BBs that have been getting rave reviews for accuracy and consistency. They’ve also caused quite a stir in the community due to claims that they might be made of glass. Well, I’m hoping to settle that particular issue with this article, where I’ve pulled together and analyzed all the information I could about these BBs. Some of you might be surprised with my conclusions.
Ares has a few new products on its ‘Coming Soon’ page. All of these feature a gas blow back action and can run on either Green Gas/Propane or CO2. First up is a replica of the Barret M82A1 .50 Caliber Sniper rifle. The page claims that this replica will be available in Airsoft, Paintball and pellet rifle versions. This is a very interesting choice in my opinion, but if you can make 3 products while re-using most of your parts, it makes sense.

Next up is a replica of the Walter WA2000 bulpup sniper rifle. This gun has been exceedingly hard to come by in airsoft, so let’s hope that Ares it able to bring it more into the mainstream. The WA2000 will be available in both Airsoft and pellet rifle versions.

Finally, not to be left out of the gas blow back M4 party (which currently includes WA, WE, G&P and KJW; did I miss anyone?), Ares is releasing their own GBB M4. It looks similar to the other products currently on the market. Only time will tell if Ares has included any features that will entice people to buy this over their competitors’ products.
